Historic Preservation Commission

  

The Historic Preservation Commission consists of seven members including one alderperson.  All other members are appointed to the commission by the mayor. 

The Commission covers a wide variety of topics including:

  1. Designate historic structures and sites within the City limits.
  2. Designate historic districts within the City limits subject to approval by the Common Council.
  3. Receive and solicit funds for the purpose of historic preservation in the City.
  4. Work for continuing education of the citizens about the historic heritage of the City of Milton and the designated historic sites and structures.
  5. Cooperate with the State of WIsconsin to place properties on the National Register of Historic Places.
